Being “in the moment" is a special quality that will enable a trainer to take the client to the next level. Qualities to look for in a personal trainer that are desirable and in common with professionals in other fields include being reliable, prompt, conscientious , highly-motivated, trustworthy, friendly, attentive, enthusiastic, caring, genuine, creative, intelligent, hard-working, thorough, organized, presentable, loyal, etc.. This list is not exhaustive.
Our bodies undergo many changes that can be reversed with proper strength training. Strength effects not only how young we look, but more importantly, how we young we feel. Wearing glasses, dying one’s hair, or applying creams for age marks have their place, but nothing compares to the long list of benefits from high intensity interval training for strength:
1. Muscle mass decreases. As adults we lose about five pounds of lean muscle each decade. Stronger muscles are more toned, and this requires more calories. Stronger toned muscles present a younger look.
My father had a couple of nasty falls; twice he banged his head pretty badly. We did not know it at the time, but the consequences of falling were more serious than we thought. My father became forgetful. It kind of flew under the radar for a while until it could no longer be ignored or denied. He underwent a series of tests.

Laurence Cohen has been a competitive triathlete for more than 20 years. His performances have always been good but now he is getting better. A few years back he participated in the New York City Triathlon. He did well but did not win his age group. Three years later at the age of age 49, he finished 24th overall in the New York City Triathlon with over 3000 participants. As the oldest in his age group, 45 to 49, he finished first beating the nearest competitor by over five minutes.
