News to be greeted with thunderous applause: People who have large thighs are less like to suffer from heart disease, and those with the thinnest thighs are twice as likely to die sooner. From this BBC News article Large thighs 'may protect heart':

"Our results suggest that there might be an increased risk of premature death related to thigh size," Berit Heitmann of Copenhagen University Hospital and Peder Frederiksen of Glostrup University Hospital wrote.
And this:
Obesity, age, smoking and other factors did not reduce the effect, the researchers reported in the British Medical Journal.
Many studies have shown a larger waist size can be a good predictor of heart disease and death, but why are large thighs a good thing?
One doctor speculated: "This is a very interesting line of research, because it would suggest that interventions which protect or increase muscle mass (such as weight training) may be effective in reducing cardiovascular disease even if no loss of body fat occurs."
Strong thighs are what push the heart not the other way around. If you cannot generate a sufficient work load to tax the heart the heart becomes weaker. People are not put in nursing homes because they are out of breath; it is because they are too weak to carry out daily activities on their own. Being stronger enables you to be more active. Strength training and the resultant increased activity redounds positively to one’s overall health.
One need not spend hours in the gym; it takes minutes a week to transform your life. With High Intensity Training (HIT) one can get more out of exercise less. One can live well without requiring hours each week engaged in monotonous exercise. Significant strength increases occur exercising as little as once or twice a week IF it's the right exercise program with the right trainer. The fitness trainers at Kelly’s Austin Personal Training and at New Orleans Ultimate Fitness Personal Trainers can guide you through a HIT personal training program that will produce the results that will add life to your years.

In the cases of heart attack and cardiac arrest, or any other heart shocks, time sets to be the most crucial factor for the survival of the patient. Sometimes, a little knowledge regarding the immediate actions to be taken may help your near and dear ones to survive in such incidents. Keith Churchwell has extraordinarily explained the pros and cons while handling patient suffering immediate heart attack or cardiac arrest. The response a person takes to treat a victim decides the probability of his/her survival. Its been my personal experience fighting to survive against a heart attack. A quick recognization of your bodily responses may increase your chances of survival. Because of having many heart problems, I was enrolled in a concierge Healthcare program from elite health. I was attacked by a severe heart attack in a party, luckily surrounded by many people. Some of the sudden changes in my body was recognized by me and anticipated immediately. I got a very severe chest pain which was almost unbearable for more than a minute. I got the suspicion that I might be having heart attack, and immediately called my physician on the phone, and explained my condition and its severity. Because of the immediate guidance, I was directed immediately to have an aspirin which I used to carry with me as prescribed by my physician. It was quite a frightening experience for me to face such a heart attack, but somehow I managed to be calm until 911 arrived. I was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where already my physician were present and have got everything setup according to my medical history. And it was in some matter of seconds that everything was in control. A doctor, who already have the complete knowledge of the medical history and fitness of the person, extra ordinarily ameliorate your recovery process. Hence such a concierge level program from Elite health, helped me a save my life, like many others.
